About Marta
The beginning of everything: My story
Hello and welcome! I am Marta, and if you have landed here, then probably because you feel: There is more. More than just head decisions. More than just persevering. More than just "functioning".
Your body and your feelings are not disturbances – they are your strongest allies. They help you move upright through challenging situations, trust your gut feeling, and perceive others with clarity and presence.
In this blog, you won't receive clichéd self-optimization tips but rather an empowerment toolbox that supports you in being seen and respected – with all the value you bring to this world.
Why me?
Good question. Let me briefly introduce myself: I am Marta, 39 years old, married, childless – and after years in Berlin, I recently moved to Switzerland. I am a psychomotor therapist with clinical experience and have worked as a leadership and mental health coach with startups and large companies.
But above all: I know the feeling of never being enough.
I emigrated from Poland to Germany with my family in 1989. My parents – performance-oriented to the core – expected me to be better than the Germans. At the same time, I constantly felt like I was falling behind. This tension has shaped me. I wanted to understand why we humans behave the way we do, why we conform, why we often make ourselves smaller than we are.
So I studied political science, traveled the world – in search of answers. But after graduation? First, a massive reality shock. I had no orientation, hardly any money, and felt stuck.
The turning point came when I studied psychomotorics – with a focus on body psychotherapy. There I learned how our body can guide us in every crisis. Not by working harder. But by listening more closely.
What is psychomotorics?
Psychomotorics is not a wellness method but a profound, scientifically grounded approach. It is about connecting body awareness with psychological processes. How you move says more about you than you think.
Especially in stressful jobs, unconscious blockages can manifest in the body – tensions, exhaustion, the feeling of being "stuck". Psychomotorics helps to break these patterns.
My professional path – and why body awareness matters in leadership
I have worked as a body therapist in psychosomatic clinics and later made the step into prevention. There I was involved as a project manager and product developer in one of the largest German health insurance companies.
Which means: I know both sides. The therapeutic work and the reality in high-performance professions. I know what it means to be stuck in the hamster wheel of performance – and how body awareness makes all the difference.
Why this blog?
Because I know that many people feel the way I did back then.
People who don't fit the classic mold. Those who want to create. Those who want to make a difference – and often wonder why it is so damn exhausting.
Here you won't get ready-made recipes, but practical tools that help you regulate your nervous system, rely on your gut feeling, and no longer put your needs at work on the back burner.
I am happy if you reach out to me – just drop me an email.
You don't have to figure this out alone. Your body knows the way.
